Rituals to invoke a desired weather pattern have historically been performed across many nationalities and countries around the world. Some are still done today. 

While some societies perform a dance for religious purposes, celebration, for the hope of no school, or to perform for a turn in the season. 

 

We know snow dance rituals do vary from do vary from one individual to another. But here are some common ideas to consider to make it snow on our trails: sleeping with silverware under one's pillow, flushing ice cubes in a toilet, or wearing your pajamas inside out and backwards.

  • World Snow Day Clinics: 01/19. Register at 12:30 for skate or classic lessons.  

  • Taste of Trails tickets SOLD out in less than 1 month.

  • Trail cleaning was cancelled on 10/11 & 10/12 due to 6 inches for snow at single digit temperatures.  Making getting the equipment difficult to start.

  • Welcome New Board Members: Steve Jones and Meggin Becker, Larry Munari  It was wonderful to see a large presents of members and support us.

  • 01/16/2020:  All trails were rolled, packed, and tracked tonight

  • 01/13/2020: Received 16" of new snow.  

  • 12/27/2019: No new snow but temperatures have been staying cool.  Skate lanes have been refreshed.

  • 12/20/2019: No new snow.  Skate lane refreshed.  All trails are tracked.  Ski with caution.

  • 12/14/2019: First official grooming report.  All trails West of Three Mile Hill are packed, combed, and track.
